Job Summary
The Liability Claims Specialist manages non-complex medical claims and minor lost-time liability claims under close supervision, determining validity and compensability, establishing reserves, and authorizing payments within reserving authority. Responsibilities include communications with customers, claimants, and clients, adherence to client and carrier guidelines, and participation inclaims reviews as needed; collaborates with team members on more complex or problematic claims. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and a current Adjuster’s License; strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and computer skills (MS Office, Excel) are essential. This is a hybrid role based in Rockville, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
- Current Adjuster’s License in state of operation is required
- Multi-State license is preferred
