Liability Claims Adjuster

Verify coverage as new losses are received and adjust claims on an inside basis by investigating, evaluating, negotiating, documenting, and validating to conclusion within authority level. Work with attorneys assigned in the defense of insured, attend mediations and trials as a representative of the company as needed, and communicate with interested parties including insured, claimants, agents, attorneys, repair shops, and lien holders. Monitor approved independent adjusters and attorneys in the field with management consent, establish and maintain reserves, and communicate with management when appropriate. Occasional travel may be required, and periodic work outside standard business hours or weekends may occur.
