Job Summary
Heavy equipment maintenance professional for aviation ground support equipment (GSE) including forklifts, k-loaders, generators, deicers, fuel trucks, and tugs. Must read blueprints and schematics, diagnose and repair gas/diesel engines and hydraulic systems, perform welding (arc/mig/acetylene), manage transmissions and drive trains, and operate with tools provided by the company. Requires 3 years of industrial/commercial maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED. Location: AUS Airport (Austin, TX). Part-time role with competitive pay and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Valid Driver’s License
- Verifiable three (3) years industrial and/or commercial maintenance work
- Basic arc and/or mig and acetylene welding, troubleshooting and repair gas and diesel engines, automatic/manual transmissions and drive trains, hydraulic systems
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all the above areas
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams
- Ability to change light and heavy-duty tires and wheels, work independently in non-supervised position
- Complete set of mechanics tools
- Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
- Perform work at heights
- Regular lifting up to 75 pounds
