Job Summary
Lead LGBTIQA+ inclusion initiatives across Social and Community Mission, driving the embedding of inclusive practice through specialist advice, resources, consultation, and data insights. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meaningful engagement with key organisations and communities within the LGBTIQA+ sector. Coordinate and promote participation in LGBTIQA+ events and awareness initiatives to strengthen advocacy, visibility, and inclusive service delivery. Work closely with SCM leaders and the DEI Specialist to contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that enhance inclusive service delivery and support the department's Quality Workplan. This permanent part-time hybrid role (19 hours/week) is based in Blackburn, VIC, or Redfern, NSW, with compensation aligned to the SCHADS Award – Level 7.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field
- Demonstrated commensurate level of sector knowledge through previous appointments and professional development
- At least 5 years' experience in a community services role
- A current Employee Working with Children Check
- Applicants for all roles require a mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
