Job Summary
Answer phone inquiries about vehicles by listening to guest responses and communicating professionally. Conduct heavy outbound calling to set up appointments from the existing clientele portfolio and follow up with previous visitors. Provide pricing, package, and availability information while explaining product performance and benefits. Introduce guests to service and parts departments to emphasize operational quality. Maintain daily activity records and reports to achieve sales objectives set by management. Keep abreast of new products, features, and accessories to share with guests. Assist in all other sales department areas as needed and perform assigned administrative duties. Maintain a professional appearance and high ethical standards. This role is 100% on-site at Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA. Bilingual skills in Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish are highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High degree of self-initiation
- Organizational skills
- Problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel)
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts (such as add, subtract, divide, multiply, and percentages)
- Knowledge of laws that govern retail automotive sales
- Ability to coordinate activities with other employees
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- Ability to learn and understand federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
- Ability to use good judgment in challenging situations
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to follow-up with guests and employees
- Ability to work well with the public
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person
- Ability to use standard office equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable and safe driving record
