Level One Medication Assistant

Level I Medication Assistant needed to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing Services. Responsibilities include following facility policies, reporting medication errors, aiding in developing procedures to determine what medication errors occur and how to prevent them, handling administrative forms/reports, recording vital signs, notifying supervisors of any reactions or errors, following medication card practices, and documenting orders in the resident’s clinical record.
