Job Summary
Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) PRN at Sherbrooke Village in St. Louis, MO. Administers medications as ordered under the supervision of a licensed nurse, follows the five rights of medication administration, records administration and treatments, observes and reports adverse effects, and responds to resident calls and needs. Performs resident care duties to maintain safety and comfort, communicates effectively with residents, families, and facility staff, and supports a culture of safety and quality. Shifts include 7:00 am–7:00 pm and 7:00 pm–7:00 am PRN; includes responsibilities such as vital signs, documentation, and coordination with licensed staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general equivalency preferred
- Required valid certification as a Level 1 Medication Aide in the state of Missouri
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Additional languages preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
