Job Summary
Seeking a qualified and safety-focused Level II NDT Rope Access Technician to support inspections using rope access techniques, conduct NDT and API inspections, assist with access system installations, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. The role requires SPRAT or IRATA certification, NDT certifications, and 1–3 years of relevant experience, alongside strong mechanical understanding and a commitment to safety.
Required Qualifications
- SPRAT or IRATA Certification (Level I or II depending on role scope)
- NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT)
- 1–3 years of experience performing inspections in refining, petrochemical, or energy environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, inspection terminology, and field safety practices
- Physically capable of performing rope access duties, including climbing, rigging, and extended work at height
- Ability to travel regionally or nationally for projects
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, TWIC, DISA, and site-specific onboarding
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Multiple NDT Level II certifications or ASNT/PCN/CGSB equivalencies
- API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP or other advanced certifications
- Radiation Safety Training / IRRSP or State Industrial Radiographer Card (if applicable to RT)
- Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software
- Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops
- Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications
- Previous experience supporting mechanical integrity or turnaround inspection programs
- Rigging certification, confined space training, or fall protection awareness credentials
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in fast-paced team environments
