Level II Commercial Refrigeration Technician HVAC-R

Job Summary
Conduct installation, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial ice machines to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize service calls. Accurately diagnose and resolve technical issues on the first visit while providing outstanding on-site service and support. Train and mentor less experienced technicians, manage truck stock and supplies, and maintain company vehicles in accordance with established policies. Drive performance metrics related to service response times and customer feedback, ensuring positive relationships with clients across restaurants, bars, and hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Vocational/Technical Training
- 1+ year experience in the diagnosis and repair of commercial equipment
- prior experience with refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, ice machines, or related equipment
- EPA 2 Certification
- Working knowledge of mobile tools and applications
- Experience in and the ability to demonstrate volt meter operations
- Ability to work a full-time schedule which includes a rotating on-call schedule
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing repair and maintenance issues
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure service calls are completed in a timely manner
- Skills in maintaining organized records and documentation of service activities
- Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Strong work ethic and dedication to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day)
- Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked
