Job Summary
The IT Technician I is responsible for ensuring system operation and functionality for end users by providing first contact support for incoming requests via telephone, web portal, and email. This role involves prioritizing service requests, using remote tools for diagnostics, performing hands-on fixes, installing and configuring hardware and software, conducting preventative maintenance, and establishing good relationships with colleagues across departments. Strong communication skills and competence with various operating systems are essential for success in this position.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac OS.
- Experience with server operating systems including Server 2008, Server 2012, Server 2016, and Server 2022 is a plus.
- Active Directory knowledge a plus
- MSP Experience preferred
- NinjaOne RMM and Autotask PSA Experience preferred
- Valid Driver License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
