Job Summary

Senior Level 3 Service Desk Engineer to act as the primary escalation point for complex Windows Server, infrastructure, networking, and application incidents across a diverse client portfolio. This role is desk-based with occasional onsite visits in Sydney, supports and maintains Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and virtualization; performs server builds, migrations, upgrades, and client onboarding; manages firewall and network infrastructure; delivers primarily remote support with after-hours on-call; mentors Level 1 and 2 engineers; collaborates with vendors and internal teams to drive timely resolution and continuous improvement; focuses on documented client communication, ticket management, and project contributions including server builds and onboarding new client environments; requires 5+ years’ senior IT experience, strong communication, and ability to work directly with clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in a senior IT support, infrastructure, or engineering role (MSP environment preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Server environments
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • TCP/IP networking, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting
  • Firewall and network infrastructure administration
  • Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune
  • CPanel/WHM and WordPress administration
  • Experience with Medical Practice Management Software such as Genie and Best Practice (training provided if required)
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA) would be highly regarded
  • National Police Check requirement
