Job Summary
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, and brake systems by testing components, driving vehicles for evaluation, and using diagnostic computers, compression gauges, and power tools. Maintain efficiency by following checklists to inspect hoses, belts, plugs, and fuel systems, then rebuild brakes with machine tools or fix small-scale parts with hand tools. Write vehicle damage repair estimates and ensure all critical parts are examined before finalizing work. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays. Entry-level candidates with working knowledge of cars are preferred.
