Job Summary
Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair services on mechanical, electrical, and building systems under direct supervision. Assist with inspection, cleaning, and installation of industrial machinery while supporting skilled technicians in troubleshooting and mechanical rebuilds. Replace defective parts such as bearings and motors, operate a forklift, and respond to breakdown calls. Adhere to all safety procedures and close work orders using the tracking system. Record coolant readings, manage oil inventory, and maintain equipment in a clean manner. Fully capable of covering all Level 1 responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent expertise gained through professional experience, training, or certifications
- Minimum one year experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
- Fully capable of Level 1 – Maintenance Laborer responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to understand their operation and identify malfunctions
- Maintain systems to track, report, document, and assist with scheduled preventative maintenance
- Record coolant refractometer readings, top up machine oils and record usage
- Manage oil and coolant inventory
- Maintain equipment in a safe and clean manner
- Operate a forklift
- Cover all MMC L1 responsibilities
- Responding to breakdown calls
- Adhere to all H&S and environmental laws and procedures
