Job Summary
Level 2 Field Technician is an in-person role based in northern Virginia, serving as the onsite technical resource for clients across workstations, networks, cloud platforms, and business applications. Responsibilities include providing onsite IT support, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, installing and configuring hardware/software (including non-standard systems), onboarding new users, post-install handoff, assisting T1 field technicians, leading on-site installations and office build-outs, installing network infrastructure (cabling, switches, firewalls, WAPs, racks), deploying workstations/printers/VoIP peripherals, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful implementation and validation of deployments. Required skills include 2-5 years of MSP/helpdesk IT experience, Windows 10/11 and Office 365 proficiency, basic networking, familiarity with remote tools/ticketing, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, comfort with low-voltage cabling, safety procedures, and IT certifications (CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred). Travel daily within the DMV area to client sites is expected; role may involve occasional office visits. Benefits include PTO, 401k, and healthcare/dental/vision. Salary range is $70k-$95k annual.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years IT support experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel daily to client sites across the DMV area
- Understanding of Windows operating systems (10/11), Office 365
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications preferred
- Prior experience in a dental or healthcare IT environment (preferred)
