Level 1 Vet Assistant

Serve as the primary liaison between veterinarians and the public by assisting in the care and treatment of public and shelter animals for clinical and surgical appointments. Maintain accurate client records, obtain medical history, process and fill medications, and handle radiographs. Prepare animals for scheduled surgical procedures and address client questions and concerns. Keep exam and surgical rooms clean and professional while promoting the humane care and treatment of animals. This role supports the VBSPCA's mission to eliminate animal suffering through affordable veterinary care, serving both clinic patients and the shelter population. Full-time positions are 32-40 hours a week with a pay rate of $18 an hour.
