Level 1 Medication Aide Med (78787)

Level 1 Medication Aide administers medications under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing/nursing designee, documents medication effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects, at Jefferson City Correctional Center (Jefferson City, MO). Full-time day shift. Must have a high school diploma or GED; preferred to hold current Level 1 Medication Aide certification (DHSS/DMH) and insulin certification. Requires continuing education to maintain certification (4 hours of medication administration training every two years), TB documentation, and active CPR/AED certification. If not certified, candidate must complete internal Level 1 medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probation. Must pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable. One year of experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional settings is preferred.
