Job Summary
Conduct in-depth analysis of escalated security alerts to identify initial access vectors, attack paths, and indicators of compromise. Triage, investigate, and respond to P1 and P2 incidents using managed security tools including Email Gateway, EDR, XDR, and NDR. Provide operational guidance to L1 analysts for handling lower-priority alerts while documenting findings and validating incident reports with evidence-backed timelines. Escalate confirmed major incidents, suggest fine-tuning for noisy use cases, and report issues in automation workflows. Ensure strict adherence to incident response SOPs and SLA commitments while maintaining professionalism on the 24×7 SOC floor. Handle customer communications and initiate breach calls as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Upper-Intermediate level)
- Strong threat-hunting mindset with analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Hands-on experience in incident investigation, triage, and response within SOC environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously
- Willingness to work in 24×7 rotational shift
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in MSSP SOC or cyber defence operations
