Job Summary
Conduct in-depth analysis of escalated security alerts to identify attack vectors, indicators of compromise, and initial access paths. Triage, investigate, and respond to P1 and P2 incidents using managed security tools including EDR, XDR, and NDR while adhering to strict incident response SOPs and SLA commitments. Provide operational guidance to L1 analysts for handling lower-priority alerts and document findings with evidence-backed timelines for major incidents. Escalate confirmed critical incidents, initiate breach calls, and handle customer communications during assigned shifts in a 24×7 rotational environment. Identify recurring attack patterns, detection gaps, and automation issues to drive continuous improvements in defence operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Upper-Intermediate level)
- Strong threat-hunting mindset with analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Hands-on experience in incident investigation, triage, and response within SOC environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously
- Willingness to work in 24×7 rotational shift
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in MSSP SOC or cyber defence operations
