Job Summary
Levantine Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor delivers virtual instruction in Levantine languages and regional culture to support LREC programs. Responsibilities include providing instruction across Listening, Reading, and Speaking (L/R/S) as measured by the DLPT, ACTFL, or OPI; teaching regional and culture subjects using modern blended-learning methodologies; developing lesson plans and materials; assessing, planning, and delivering instruction at ILR 0+ to 3 levels; reviewing and grading assignments; maintaining a positive and professional virtual environment; addressing student behavior/attendance with site lead; and collaborating with Site Lead, POI analyst, and Language Instructional Developer to close curriculum gaps. Requirements include US citizenship, native or near-native language capability with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent, experience in virtual instruction, understanding of the cultural/political environment of the language region, ability to create blended lessons, and access to required hardware/software.
