Job Summary
College Success Coaches provide virtual support to undergraduate students through the Let’s Get Ready texting curriculum and various communication channels. They respond to student inquiries via text messages on the Mainstay platform within 24 hours, offer advice, resources, and encouragement on college readiness tasks (e.g., registering for classes, accessing campus resources, and balancing school-work-life), share college perspectives from their own experience, send tip sheets, develop warm rapport with a caseload of students, and participate in mandatory training and weekly supervision. The role involves completing virtual learning modules, tracking mentee progress, and communicating with mentees through text, phone, video, and email to support matriculation and persistence in college. The position is part-time, remote in the United States, with an August 2026 – August 2027 timeframe and a minimum hourly wage of $12.00/hour (annualized to $24,960).
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate student or have graduated within the past 1–2 years
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Extremely comfortable building rapport virtually via phone, email, text messaging, live video streams, etc
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate multiple technology platforms
- Be able to commit to the position for the full school year (August 2026 through August 2027)
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment
- Must be willing to work a part-time schedule (5 to 8 hours per week) for the full year
