Job Summary
Teach Les Mills Body Pump classes as scheduled, providing modifications for varying fitness levels and ensuring proper setup and cleanup. Understand contraindicated exercises to maintain a safe and effective approach, while recording participation numbers and reporting equipment needs immediately. Demonstrate accountability by arriving on time, seeking substitutes in advance, and maintaining a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills. Maintain industry certification in good standing, meet continuing education requirements, and provide a fun, engaging experience for participants.
Required Qualifications
- A group exercise instructor certification
- NCCA accredited certification
- NCCA Personal Trainer certification
- Les Mills Certification
- Certification for some specialty group exercise class instruction
- CPR/AED certification
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in group class instruction
- Experience teaching a variety of styles, levels and population
