Job Summary
Lending & Portfolio Services Specialist role supporting commercial and consumer lending operations through end-to-end servicing: verify EFTs, wires and transfers; process property taxes; support funding and payments; maintain digital loan files and upload documents; coordinate with CMHC, servicers, insurers, brokers, and internal teams; manage client/investor relationships and issue resolution; leverage knowledge of mortgage policies and CMHC servicing framework to ensure compliance and accuracy. Bilingual French/English is preferred. Hybrid work arrangement across Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary with commutable relocation as needed. 15-month fixed-term contract with typical office hours and hybrid in-office/remote balance. Key skills include mortgage/loan administration, reconciliation, customer service, stakeholder coordination, document management, MS Office, and strong organizational capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months’ work experience in an administrative setting
- Fluency in French and English preferred
- Previous experience in a similar position within a mortgage or loan administration department would be an asset
- Good financial acumen with experience in a financial institution preferred
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- A self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team
- Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines and is able to prioritize tasks in a changing environment
- Project exposure would be an asset
