Job Summary
Berklee’s Liberal Arts and Sciences Department seeks a student tutor to assist LMSC-261 Introduction to Computer Programming students. The role focuses on reinforcing course concepts, particularly Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and C, and requires strong communication and organizational skills. This part-time on-campus position is available to current Berklee/Boston Conservatory students with appropriate enrollment, GPA, and work-study status.
Required Qualifications
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking program
- GPA minimum of 2.0 (first-semester exception allowed)
- First-semester students may work even without an official GPA
- Proficient in Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and C programming
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to explain computer programming concepts clearly to students
- Must have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN)
- Must maintain valid visa status as applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching is a plus
