Job Summary

Manage daily office operations and staff, including scheduling the Tribal Council, coordinating travel, and supervising interns. Process administrative requests such as purchase orders, stipend payments, and payroll time approvals while maintaining document storage and meeting minutes. Serve as a liaison to constituents and officials, managing inquiries, preparing press releases, and representing the office at community events. Track legislative resolutions and prepare briefings on policy issues for Tribal Councilors. Coordinate all tribal council meetings and communicate with state and federal agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of comparable work experience with emphasis in business, political science, public administration or related field
  • Five years' experience working with tribal, state, or federal government in policy or public administration
  • Knowledge and experience working with Native American communities, culture, customs and cultural law

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory and policy experience
  • Preferred experience working for or with tribal governments
  • Enrolled citizens of LRBOI, federally recognized tribe or Alaskan natives
