Job Summary
Assist and oversee all food and beverage requirements for the VIP area, ensuring quality products are delivered fresh and timely. Clear tables, reset them for new guests, run food from the kitchen, and collect banquet equipment while maintaining proper grooming and sanitation procedures. Prepare garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread, and establish positive client relationships with suite staff, kitchen personnel, and stewards. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, standing for long durations and lifting up to 50 pounds. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, exhibitors, and patrons while adhering to customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- TABC and Texas Food Handlers certified
- High School education
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
- Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
- Moderate physical efforts
- Standing for long hours during events
- Lifting of weights up to 50 pounds
