Job Summary

Legal Support Specialist II at Bradley provides advanced administrative and legal support to attorneys firm-wide within the Legal Resource Center. The role collaborates in a team environment, participates in inhouse training to fill gaps, and has opportunities to mentor Legal Support Specialist I team members. Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents, memos, and correspondence; creating, editing, formatting, and proofreading documents, spreadsheets, and presentations; drafting notices; generating pleadings and briefs with advanced Word capabilities; transcribing data from audio tapes; creating/editing PowerPoint presentations and charts; converting PDFs to Word; managing workflow and deadlines; transmitting documents to clients, witnesses, and court officials by various methods; assisting with management of client financial records and reporting; calendar management for deadlines; submitting for and maintaining Bar and Court Admissions; tracking Continuing Legal Education; and providing back-up and PTO coverage. Qualifications emphasize a mix of degree preference, substantial paralegal/legal support experience, strong technology proficiency, confidentiality, mentorship ability, and a client-service mindset. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ related experience at a law firm or professional services industry
  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point
  • Familiarization with basic graphics and picture manipulation, including resizing, copying, and pasting functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain poised and demonstrate composure and tact in stressful situations
  • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment utilizing excellent judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Embrace technology and seek knowledge to improve efficiency and quality of work
  • Typing accuracy, ability to proofread with an attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision, while functioning effectively as part of a team
  • Labor and Employment litigation and/or Education Law experience is preferred
  • Federal Court filings and PACER PRO
  • Billing and client invoicing
