Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive IP docketing services by reviewing, docketing, and distributing high-volume incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates. Open new matters, input records into the FoundationIP system, and provide auditing services to ensure quality control of client data. Generate client status reports by researching pending or issued applications and clear the docket daily by sending reminders as needed. Prepare, edit, and proof legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, and memos, while filing filings in district, state, and federal courts. Manage calendars, coordinate logistics for meetings and travel, and answer incoming calls and inquiries. Monitor annuity payments, track decisions, and submit invoices for patent prosecution matters. Enter billable time into billing software, submit expense reimbursements, and maintain client files. Greet clients and visitors, notify personnel of guest arrivals, and assist with transferring in and out of clients and matters.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent form two-year college or technical school
- two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- two years of experience in a legal setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Highly organized, detail-orientated, proactive with a desire to take ownership
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some overtime may be required
Desired Qualifications
