Legal Specialist

Job Summary
Lead negotiations with clients and third parties to secure favorable contract terms; draft, prepare, review, and edit legal documents including NDAs, trials, amendments, license agreements, and demand letters under attorney supervision; support the drafting, negotiation, and management of legal agreements while partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient contract processes; serve as a single point of contact for processing and tracking legal documents; coordinate correspondence with clients and internal stakeholders; advise business units on legal documentation and related processes; prepare research-based reports using public sources and databases on entities and individuals; analyze legal issues with a strong sense of ethics and integrity when handling confidential information and provide practical solutions aligned with business goals; participate in the Commercial Transactions Legal team supporting all commercial and sales transactions across the Americas; role based in Costa Rica (Heredia).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with approximately 3–4 years of relevant in-house legal experience
- Familiarity with corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property laws
- Strong legal research skills with the ability to articulate findings concisely
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to manage a high volume of contract-related tasks
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work across different time zones within the Americas as required
- Practical experience applying artificial intelligence and legal technology tools in a legal environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
