Legal Services Assistant - Litigation

Job Summary
Support multiple litigation attorneys with administrative tasks including e-filing, docketing, drafting pleadings, calendar management, travel coordination, and document proofreading; ensuring deadlines are met and files are organized in accordance with firm guidelines. Maintain positive relations with internal clients and co-workers, manage client-related activities on electronic calendars, handle reimbursements and travel arrangements, and provide proactive workflow support using BigHand. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work both in-office and remotely as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of experience as a legal services assistant or other legal support position
- Experience supporting Litigation Attorneys
- High school diploma
- Excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent client service skills in person, over the phone and via email
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in dealing with a diverse group of professionals
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while dealing with internal and client data
- Ability to work in the office and remotely, with the appropriate internet capabilities as directed
