Legal Secretary

Job Summary
The Legal Secretary prepares legal documents and correspondence, files documents with the court, drafts routine business correspondence, and maintains attorney schedules and contact lists. Key responsibilities include managing the court docket, answering attorney telephones, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all communications. Requires five years of litigation experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and advanced knowledge of MS Office. Familiarity with labor and employment law and document management applications is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of extensive litigation experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Extensive knowledge of court rules, ECF procedures
- Professional demeanor to communicate with all levels of management, clients attorneys and staff
- Ability to work standard office equipment, including computer, copier, facsimile and telephone
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in labor and employment law strongly preferred
- Familiarity with document management applications a plus
