Job Summary
The Legal Secretary is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including transcribing dictation, preparing and proofreading legal documents, filing legal documents with the courts, maintaining accurate records, entering billable time, and managing attorney calendars. The role requires strong knowledge of court rules, legal document formats, and exceptional organizational skills. Additional responsibilities include mentoring new employees and performing receptionist duties. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document formatting
- Accurate typing ability of 70 wpm
- 3+ years of experience in a legal secretary role
- Knowledge of legal documents and terminology
