Job Summary
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to attorneys in the Estate Litigation department. Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda with precision. Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and handle related follow-ups. Organize and maintain client files—both digital and hard copy—ensuring accessibility and accuracy. Assist with preparing presentations and reports using PowerPoint and Excel. Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications in a professional and timely manner while maintaining confidentiality. Requires minimum of 5 years of legal secretarial experience, preferably with estate litigation exposure, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and document management systems. Located in Mineola, NY, with onsite availability five days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of legal secretarial experience
- preferably with exposure to estate litigation or trust & estates law
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Strong working knowledge of Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe
- Strong working knowledge of document management systems
- Familiarity with Excel
- Familiarity with PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Must be available for onsite work in Mineola, NY
- Must be available for 5 days/week
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
