Job Summary
Format, finalize, and file legal documents for assigned attorneys, including preparing letters and pleadings. Serve or arrange service of legal documents and maintain attorney case files. Prepare subpoenas, discovery requests, and schedule hearings, trials, and depositions while arranging necessary facilities. Retain and schedule court reporters, obtain transcripts, and enter information into legal tracking systems. Perform general secretarial duties such as phone calls and travel arrangements, and support office management as needed. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30am to 5:30pm with ongoing assignment length.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree
- minimum of three to five years of legal secretarial experience
- knowledge of procedural law and litigation processes
- Proficiency in legal research tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
