Job Summary
Read and analyze published judicial opinions across state and federal jurisdictions. Review outputs generated by AI systems and verify their accuracy against source legal materials. Apply legal research training to identify errors, ambiguities, or edge cases in automated outputs. Collaborate with legal researchers and ML engineers to improve data quality over time. This part-time internship is available to 2L and 3L students at University of Chicago, Northwestern, or Loyola University Chicago. Schedule is 10–20 hours per week, flexible around class commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L at the University of Chicago Law School, Northwestern, or the Loyola University Chicago School of Law
- Completion of at least the 1L curriculum, including legal research and writing
Desired Qualifications
- Enjoy reading and analyzing judicial opinions, statutes, and other legal authorities
- Strong attention to detail and familiarity with legal writing
- Interest in legal technology or AI
