Job Summary
Oversee the 1L and 2L law student recruitment processes, creating strategies and timelines for campus outreach while managing candidate review, interview scheduling, and offer decisions. Lead the national recruiting team to execute the Summer Associate Program, handling onboarding, training, evaluations, and event coordination. Manage lateral associate recruiting operations for patent agents, associates, and counsel, including job posting, candidate pool development, and search process systematization. Provide day-to-day direction to recruiting coordinators and collaborate with practice area leaders to ensure firmwide consistency in hiring efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience and demonstrated track record in recruiting in the legal industry
- Action-oriented, proactive, and innovative approach to recruiting
- Ability to provide exceptional service, with an emphasis on responsiveness, to internal and external clients
- A team player committed to superior standards of professionalism and productivity
- Adaptability in a dynamic, high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented work manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Forward thinking and flexible approach to recruiting, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office products, i.e., MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of related experience
- Legal experience at a major law firm and/or in-house legal department
- Must be based in one of Bay Area offices (Silicon Valley or San Francisco, CA)
- Must require 2–3 days of in‐office presence per week
- Must be a full‐time exempt role
