Job Summary
Guide legal teams through the LPM process including scoping, planning, budgeting, executing, and controlling work, cost, and resources. Contribute to engagement management strategy discussions and work with matter teams to support efficient client engagement management throughout the full lifecycle. Adapt LPM tools to circumstances, create and monitor scope documents and staffing plans, and develop pricing structures with Revenue Administration staff. Track and analyze actual engagement time and costs against budget, plan timelines and milestones, and identify risks to communicate to partners. Continuously identify improvements to LPM processes, coordinate project meetings, and suggest reports to improve transparency. Train and mentor attorneys and business services personnel on employing LPM on matters.
Required Qualifications
- A strong academic record
- preferably of graduate level
- JD or MBA
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- within a professional, consulting or legal services environment
- Formal legal project management qualification
- e.g. PMP or equivalent
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma project/process principles
- Understanding and exposure to Agile approaches
- Experience using process mapping/planning techniques
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving capabilities
