Job Summary
Develop and manage matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans while preparing reports, accruals, and client budget updates for attorneys, clients, and leadership. Monitor matter financial performance—including budget-to-actual results, WIP, realization, fees, collections, and variances—to recommend corrective actions. Partner with attorneys on matter scope, staffing, and financial risk while collaborating with Pricing, Finance, and Billing teams to drive adoption of consistent legal project management practices and reporting tools. Utilize the firm's AI-enabled technology suite to improve processes and decision-making. This role supports the firm's AI-forward adoption within its legal project management function across Baltimore, New York, or Washington, DC offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five or more years of legal project management experience
- Five or more years of legal finance experience
- Five or more years of pricing experience
- Five or more years of law firm financial operations experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Advanced Aderant/Elite proficiency
- Power BI proficiency
- Data visualization skills
