Deliver culturally competent legal support across a busy team environment, specializing in areas such as Independent Children's Lawyer and Separate Representative roles with ongoing practice development. Maintain a high level of professional service with flexibility in working hours, prioritizing a healthy work-life balance without billable hour pressure. Commence ASAP for this temporary position supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Required Qualifications
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland
- Hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Australian High Court
- Holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card
- High level of professional service
- Capacity across a wide range of Family Law
- Capacity across a wide range of Domestic Violence
- Capacity across a wide range of Child Protection advocacy
- Resilience in handling complex cases
- Ability to develop culturally competent service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of full-time experience
- Specialisation as an Independent Children's Lawyer
- Separate Representative
