Job Summary
Ombudsman contractor role in Washington DC for a 1-year assignment. Responsibilities include researching and resolving Better Business Bureau and Attorney General cases, managing escalations from leadership, drafting well-written responses for senior leadership and Board, compiling and analyzing operational reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in a correspondence or contact center environment, strong written and verbal communication, ability to handle sensitive issues, attention to detail, and on-site work Monday through Thursday in Downtown Washington DC. Travel may be required. Must be able to independently prioritize multiple high-profile requests and maintain professional communication with leadership and external agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications
- minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a correspondence or contact center environment
- proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Must be able to work on-site Monday-Thursday
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple escalations from BBB, Attorney General, and contact centers
