Job Summary
Lead contract drafting and negotiation for complex telecommunications software and technology transactions, conduct legal reviews of products and business initiatives, and handle disputes with customers and suppliers. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Japan, the UK, US, Germany, UAE, and India to support Rakuten Symphony's global operations. Requires an LL.B., J.D., or LL.M. with 3–5 years of in-house or law firm experience, fluency in Japanese and English, and a TOEIC score of 800 or higher. Based at Rakuten Crimson House in Tokyo.
Required Qualifications
- LL.B., J.D., LL.M., or equivalent degree
- At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in law firm or as an in-house legal professional
- Fluent in Japanese and English

- Admission to the bar in an overseas jurisdiction or in Japan
- Experience in a multinational and diverse environment
- Experience in the IT, software, or telecom industry
- TOEIC score of 800 or higher
