Job Summary
In this role as a Legal Manager, you will oversee all aspects of recovering deficiency balances on charged-off accounts through litigation and collaboration with outside counsel. You will manage the litigation lifecycle, support your team in meeting performance targets, and ensure compliance and professionalism. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, mentoring team members, liaising with vendors, reconciling financial reports, and preparing legal files for outside counsel. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, possess strong communication skills, and have a solid understanding of collection laws.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SQL
- Familiarity with basic federal and state collection laws, including FDCPA
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Collaborative yet self-driven mindset
