Job Summary
Legal Intake Specialist handles initial client contact, gathers detailed information, evaluates potential cases against firm guidelines, and coordinates onboarding to ensure a smooth, professional client experience. Responsibilities include conducting intake interviews via phone, email, and online inquiries; accurately entering and maintaining client information in case management systems (e.g., Clio); scheduling consultations and coordinating attorney calendars; maintaining confidentiality; following up with prospective clients; and collaborating with attorneys and staff to improve intake workflows and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries and prioritize effectively
- Comfort working with case management software (experience with Clio or similar systems a plus)
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in evaluating potential cases
