Legal Intake Manager

Job Summary
Manage daily intake workflows by reading, writing, and validating information for new file openings and existing firm matters within Upfront and SAP billing systems. Supervise the Intake Team to ensure accurate matter processing, train new Legal Intake Specialists, and implement uniform rate update procedures. Communicate concisely with attorneys and legal assistants to resolve billing issues, cross-reference insurance guidelines, and assign client matter numbers. Identify process improvements to shorten cycles, work with Conflicts and Billing Teams to maintain required standards, and escalate complex issues to the Assistant General Counsel. Work 9am to 6pm in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Computer savvy
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

- Business Administration Degrees considered
- Experience using Aderant
- Experience using an SAP based system with conflict or billing software experience a plus
- Knowledge of the administrative legal process in the insurance defense space a plus
- Experience providing excellent customer service and understands good customer service principles
