Job Summary
Legal Fellowship at Democracy Forward Foundation: a full-time, one-year fellowship beginning Fall 2027 with potential extension. Based in Washington, DC, the role allows remote work but requires in-office presence eight times per month (approximately twice per week) to support litigation and advocacy tasks. Required Qualifications
- Obtained a J.D. from an accredited law school by the time the fellowship begins in September 2027
- Demonstrated excellence in performing legal research and drafting legal documents
- Demonstrated commitment to democracy and social progress
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and drive forward work under tight deadlines
- Well-developed collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Experience or eagerness to work in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or advocacy organization
- Active bar membership in the state or DC (as a requirement for lawyer positions)
