Legal Engineer - Custom Solutions

ROLE OVERVIEW: Harvey's Custom Solutions team builds tailored AI tools for leading strategic customers. The team scopes, designs and implements custom agents, playbooks and prompts to address high-priority use cases, stored in the customer's Harvey instance for scalable access. Team members travel onsite to build relationships with senior stakeholders and support rollout, collaborating with Go-to-Market and Product teams to surface opportunities and pilot features. WHAT YOU'LL DO: establish understanding of Harvey's platform; scope, design and build custom agents, playbooks and prompts for key strategic customers; build relationships with senior stakeholders to map requirements to working solutions; prototype, test and iterate, including piloting Harvey features prior to general release; communicate market feedback to Product and Engineering to drive impactful enhancements; partner with Legal Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to deliver measurable growth; create and maintain reusable assets and best practices to speed deployments. WHAT YOU HAVE: JD or equivalent, 5+ years as practicing lawyer at top-tier firm or in-house; curiosity about testing approaches and optimizing for customer outcomes; strong communication and track record of partnering with senior stakeholders; interest in driving positive change in the legal industry through AI; experience using AI tools in legal practice is a plus.
