Job Summary
Harvey seeks a Corporate-focused Legal Engineer to bridge customers, sales, and product, leading sharp discovery and tailored product demonstrations, translating real legal work into Harvey solutions, and partnering with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to shape the roadmap. The role requires a JD or equivalent, 3+ years of transactional experience (M&A, private equity, capital markets, finance, fund formation, EC/VC, real estate, etc.), deep understanding of corporate lawyers’ workflows, executive presence, strong communication and presentation skills, and curiosity about AI’s potential to transform legal practice. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and direct customer engagement to drive value for lawyers and clients.
Required Qualifications
- JD or equivalent legal qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in a transactional practice such as M&A, private equity, capital markets, finance, fund formation, banking, EC/VC, real estate or related practice areas at a top-tier law firm or sophisticated in-house legal team
- Strong understanding of the workflows, challenges, and demands faced by corporate lawyers
- Executive presence and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility with legal professionals at all levels
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, whether leading a live product demo, facilitating a workshop, or engaging in strategic customer conversations
- Curiosity about AI and its potential to transform legal practice
- A practical, solutions-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for working directly with customers
- Experience in client-facing roles, law firm business development, transaction management, or cross-functional collaboration is a plus
