Job Summary
Review, edit, and audit legal opinions and caselaw content generated through AI-assisted processes by applying established Legal Editing Guidelines. Analyze documents to identify key issues, determine precedential relationships between cases and statutes, and apply appropriate history and treatment letters. Validate output against source material to ensure accuracy, correct gaps or inconsistencies, and verify history chains using designated tools. Meet production targets and deadlines while resolving complex editorial questions and raising guideline ambiguities for continuous improvement. This home-based role supports LexisNexis's mission to advance the rule of law by improving legal research and decision-making for global customers.
Required Qualifications
- JD, LLB, or LLM degree
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legal precedent and editorial guidelines
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and escalation when appropriate
- Excellent reading comprehension and issue-spotting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving workflows, including AI-assisted processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
