Job Summary
Legal Document Reviewer responsible for ensuring the accuracy of legal documents before filing, analyzing case dockets, reviewing settlement agreements, and supporting the Senior Paralegal and Legal Assistants. Must be a licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (prefer Maryland), with excellent attention to detail, strong written communication, and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. The role requires high-volume document review in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a hybrid work arrangement at the Bethesda, MD office. Responsibilities include reviewing court filings for errors, analyzing case dockets to guide litigation actions, ensuring settlement terms are satisfied, managing document flow, and providing constructive feedback to junior staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a team setting, demonstrates critical thinking, adaptability to diverse cultures, and a strong drive for results.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Maryland
- Immaculate attention to detail and precision in written communication
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; comfortable using office equipment (scanner, fax, copy machine)
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from others
- Strong critical thinking and ability to weigh multiple factors to solve problems
- Flexibility and adaptability to diverse cultures
- Proven ability to plan and organize effectively, identify and correct errors, capture relevant details, and meet deadlines
- Ability to develop and manage relationships; effectively present information and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to balance competing priorities in dynamic environments and deliver results on time
