Legal Director, Asia

Legal Director, Asia on the GTM Legal (Asia) team enabling Workday's revenue growth in Asia through enterprise-level deal support across ASEAN and broader Asia. You will provide legal support on contracts, data privacy, software licensing and subscription, market entry, cybersecurity, ethics and integrity, and other commercial transactional issues; serve as in-region country counsel; train Sales to work with Legal; manage outside counsel; collaborate with Global Partners Organization to enable channel programs; navigate regional regulatory requirements; and help shape regional contracting strategy while aligning with global standards. The role requires strong communication, risk assessment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions in Asia-Pacific, including familiarity with data privacy, public sector procurement, and technology contracting regulations. Flexible work approach combines in-office/field presence with remote work, with at least half of time spent in office or in the field per quarter.
