Job Summary
Legal Counsel to support major infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects across Canada. Responsibilities include providing legal support for negotiation, drafting, and interpretation of contracts across ERI and E&E sectors; delivering timely legal advice through project lifecycles; advising on legal, commercial, and risk matters; drafting/reviewing contract templates and client agreements; supporting bids by reviewing RFPs and proposals; assessing risks for internal risk committees; ensuring governance and regulatory compliance; collaborating with Claims & Litigation on disputes.
Required Qualifications
- Member in good standing of a Canadian provincial Bar with minimum 3 years’ experience
- Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in construction and/or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of risk management and business fundamentals
- Experience with major project delivery models (EPCM, design-build, partnerships) is an asset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
